Talk about Getting Lost in a Memory...

Postby Sheepdog » Tue Apr 11, 2017 8:14 am

...looking for something, I hit this Google page https://www.google.com/search?q=old+sav ... M:&spf=190

nuttin' but old memories!!! Savage, Stevens, and Fox made some fine rifles and shotguns...hate that they went out of business-nobody's stepped up to fill the gap like they did.

There was one of those at the range. Boss rented it out one time too many and somebody screwed it up!

Not sure why they had those but I had a High Standard semi-auto (years ago) that had them too.
That Savage Model 6 has a knob or cross bolt that enables you to lock the bolt for single shot fire. It's kind of a neat litttle rifle.

Neat site Sheepdog, thanks. I still have an old Stevens 12ga repeater that I cut down and keep in my RV.

I would say cooling and blowing out the residue. I know at night it throws sparkes out.
those are known for the thing taking off full auto and won't stop till it's empty. There is a tang on the lifter under the trigger group that bends and you have to re set it to make it a semi again I have fixes several and have 2 or 3 of them here somewhere.1 has a plastic stock.

ks I know I got no surprises left,,OR DO I ????

I don't think it's worth the shipping to fix it. He doesn't shoot the other 6-8 he has. Thanks for the offer, though.

while shooting it only release the trigger 1/4 way off and some will go full auto.
