One of Ruger's best and most desired. Hope you put some meat on the table with it. Very nice!

Was yours a No. 1 or No. 3? It has the No. 3 lever. Either way, you fixed it up nice.

Thanks, guys. I shot it today, in the rain. Shoot pretty good, but I need to shoot it again to wring out it's potential. When I first got it I ran a patch through it of Hoppes and it came out clean, let it sit there a few minutes, ran another patch and it was purple. So, got out the copper cleaner and proceeded to clean on it all the rest of the day yesterday, and let it sit overnight, and cleaned it again this morning! Whoever had it cleaned the powder fouling real good, but left a butt load of copper in it. Anyway, I had it zeroed in in 3 shots, but I brought 3 different loads with me, and I would have to start all over again each time I switched loads. I really like the gun though, it was a lot of fun, and didn't really kick as bad as I thought it might with that hard rubber butt pad. It is a pretty heavy gun, probably about 8 or 9 pounds, so that helped with the recoil quite a bit. So, cleaning it again right now, hopefully will get all the copper out of it, and see what she will do next week. I hope it stops raining! We built a new bridge at the range, but between all the snow, and the rain, the creek is pretty close to the bridge today. Can't afford to lose any work, just bought this and a Beretta M-9!

Gunman, if your shop has some Wipeout, get a can and give it a try. It seems to clean copper better than anything I've ever used.
