I'm looking at this scope

Postby Shawn » Wed Sep 14, 2016 10:22 am

I've seen some really good reviews, and for the price it seems to be really good. The straight 10X is only $300 and gets even better reviews, but I don't think I like the idea of having 10X magnification all the time. 6X would be OK, but probably limit the gun. Any thoughts?

My son has the straight 10X on his 24" AR. I think it is a great scope. I like the entire line of Super Snipers.
I don't know why a variable wouldn't be every bit as good a scope as their fixed.

They're just not as bullet proof, because of all the moving parts, etc. It's always that way with all brands. I just don't think I could get along with a fixed 10X scope.

I have variables on all but two, never had a problem with one. I have one fixed 10 and it's an old El Paso Weaver and I don't shoot it much. It's an old custom that was my dad's gun. Go with a variable, you won't regret it if you get a good one.

This advice is worth just what you paid for it.

I agree. After dicking with my scope on 10X, I realized it wouldn't work for me. I want a variable for sure.

I'm not saying to go with a fixed 10x I just meant that the SWFA fixed scopes are really nice scopes for the money and that I suspect that their variables are good as well.

Soooo, what are you going to do with the one that is on there now? :P

Either move it to another gun, or sell it. I ain't even used it yet.

Might wait on the new scope. I think I'm going to buy another Harley this week. Need a bagger for the longer runs.

0-60 WOULD be more fun than 15x42, wouldn't it!
